I used to be in the business. The signature and inscription are good—i.e., authentic—and that's where most of the value lies. I'd say it'd bring around $3,000 at auction. Not enough to retire on, but a hell of a windfall courtesy of an extremely careless bookseller.
Normally, I'd say that only an asshole would use Helvetica for a letter of such gravity. But he definitely earns a pass on this one. Still, I bet the NRA uses that shareware version peppered with bullet holes for their official correspondence.
